Clenchwarton Road No. 133 former Free Bridge Pub

West Lynn

The ‘Free Bridge’ itself was opened in 1821. This pub appears on the 1886 OS plan and ‘Freebridge Hotel’ is labelled here on the 1843 tithe map. In the directories of the 1880s they refer to the Freebridge Inn or Freebridge Hotel. Now a dwelling only. Ceased to be a pub in 1985 – but sign still present.
