The central section of the Gaywood/Lynn/Gayton east-west road, formerly the turnpike road to Norwich. This is the centre ‘village section’ from the former Hunstanton railway crossing east to the junction with Wootton Road. The south side as surviving was developed mainly 1920s/30s onward on former agricultural land.
