Norwich and Norfolk Medieval Association: Meet an Archer from the 100-years war, a Man at Arms (town-militia man), a Benedictine Monk (Pardoner), and a Tradeswoman, with local craft.


Visit the South Gate for interactive elements, displays of replica furniture, and food inspired by archaeological food remains discovered in the 1980s and dated to the 17th century – it will bring the history of the South Gates to life.
It is stone-fronted brick of three storeys with polygonal corner turrets. The side passages are 19th century. The gate as we see it is largely 1437. Upstairs is a spacious room with a fireplace, privy hole and gun ports.
