Volunteers Wanted!
King’s Lynn Town Hall

King’s Lynn Civic Society will host a ‘Volunteering Fair’ at the Town Hall on Saturday 17th June in a bid to attract new supporters for key heritage and environmental groups in the town.
The event is being organised in conjunction with the Borough Council and will allow residents to match their skills and interests with local heritage and environmental organisations needing more help and local participation. The event will include keynote speakers, as well as stalls and presentations by local groups showcasing their work, goals and future plans.
10.00 Welcome from the Mayor of King’s Lynn
10.15 A talk by Dr Paul Richards, local historian, on the Red Mount Chapel and South Gates
10.45 Tea, coffee and cake available with proceeds from the sale going to the Mayor’s Charities. An opportunity to look at information from volunteer groups
11.30 A series of 10-minutes presentations by volunteer groups
1.00 Lunch
2.00 A talk by Tim Fitzhigham, Creative Director: Guildhall and Creative Hub, Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk
2.30 A series of 10-minutes presentations by volunteer groups
3.15 Tea, coffee and cake available with proceeds from the sale going to the Mayor’s Charities. An opportunity to look at information from volunteer groups
3.45 Closing remarks by the leader of the council
